Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine (VFFS) is used for packaging commodities like food products and pharmaceutical products. What is Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine (VFFS) machine ?

Vertical Form-Fill-Seal packaging is the packaging form that is a way to form the wrapping film in tube shape, drop the product in vertical direction and then form a pillow-shaped bag. The above picture shows the packing process.

The typical products wrapped in VFFS machine are snacks, sweets like chocolates and candies, frozen foods, frozen vegetables, powder products of coffee, cocoa, milk, starch, seasoning mix, and pharmaceutical products such as barium powder.

In VFFS machine, the set film roll is fed to the forming section, and sealed the back side and bottom of the formed film, and then the contents are filled. After sealing the top of the film and cut it, the product completes as pillow bag at last.

The followings are the merits for introducing Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine (VFFS):

By using VFFS machine, the mechanized operation can secure the stable quality and consistent wrapping. This enables increasing production efficiency as well as solving labor shortage.
To maintain the product quality, depending on the contents, nitrogen (N2) gas can be filled in the bag while the products are filled for the purpose of reducing oxygen. Reducing the amount of oxygen prevents the product from oxidation, which means the product will be kept in good quality. The gas filling also prevents the contents from cracked or damaged during transportation.

As it is the automatic wrapping by machine, beautiful wrapping finis and stable operation are also the merits.

On the other hand, VFFS machine is not always favorable solution in some cases.
If the product is delicate and easily damaged by heat, VFFS machine may not be suitable for these products. Technically, VFFS machine drops the products from top for filling into the bag. Therefore the products may be crushed by fall, or have cracks. The weight per piece is too heavy it might be unsuitable.

TWJC is a model pursued 'Made in Japan quality' with high performance and affordability.
This continuous VFFS machine is equipped with the servo-driven seal mechanism which will produce stable seal strength even in high-speed operation. By combination with a hem folding device(optional), 4 side corners Hem seal bag can be produced.

Vertical Form Fill Seal Machine (VFFS) model: TWFX

Model TWFX is designed to achieve the maximum packing speed 120 bags/min with thanks to the improvement of the film feeding stability and its excellent long seal/end sealing operation.
The control by 2- axis servomotor allows the wide setting range of sealing pressure that enables TWFX can handle various type of wrapping films. The widely-open front cover gives better accessibility for changing the set parts, cleaning and maintenance. Since the cover in the most of area is transparency, the visibility inside the machine is in good condition. The film setting can be easily done, in other words, the time for changing film roll and connecting the film joint can be saved accordingly. TWFX has a supporting function for setting film roll to reduce the workload.
