Fin seal overwrapping machine

Features of fin seal package

Fin Seal overwrapping machine is one of the film overwrapping machines that TAM manufactures. The name ‘Fin’ is from the fin of a fish. It is called ‘Fin seal because of the process of sealing; after wrapping the body of the carton there is film edge to adhere at the long side, and the both short sides to adhere for heat seal. They are looks like fins.

In overwrapping, it had tendency of difficulty for hermetic seal because the carton be used are mostly flexible thin plastic or paper made carton. When heat seal pressure acts against the carton from the outside, the cartons often deformed by heat seal pressure.

Fin seal, on the other hand, it is the way to pinch the film and seal them so that the carton flexibility does not affect the package. Thus, it is able to produce the package with hermetic sealing. Obtaining the airtightness prevents the invasion of insects or quality influence by moisture.
